This is probably a dumb question, but how do you get a video camera to record yourself painting without it being in the way?

I piddle around with various types of things.  Went to a canvas and cocktails type event with my wife, where we doing a forest/sunset piece.  Felt it was lacking something, so I added the TARDIS with two sets of footprints leaving it into the snow:

I also do modelling in plastics, mostly scifi items.  My best piece was a Millenium Falcon which was one of my first fibre optic projects:

The stock cockpit was extremely inaccurate, so I trashed it and made one from plastic card, with four chairs, the hyperdrive levers, the console, and the back door, with two lights above it to highlight (terrible picture)

I created a TOS NCC-1701, which I also custom modded and lit for a friend for his birthday:

I have a back burnered B'rel Class Bird of Prey in progress, with lighting engines and fore torpedo tube.  I also write short stories, poetry, and am a very amateur wood worker.

I write a bit of poetry, myself! Most of it is in Swedish, but I can give you all an example of a work in English:

The Beast and the Paladin
Those dreaded amber eyes
of icy warmth and fiery coldness
brings me to thought of chivalrous ties
of dark, gloomy times, I must confess.

And so is the sword from its sheath so firmly dragged
blistering steel with an edge as sharp as an edge should be
the knight, overcome with pride, bragged
the eternal warrior of light, that is me.
