As the Arbemaisonnese Empire continues to militarize under new policies by King Zaldar II, the media in Arbemaisonnes is completely being taken over by the Arbemaisonnese government. Here we come in. We, The Free Peninsula, are a newspaper based in an undisclosed location (safety reasons) with one goal: deliver unbiased knowledge to the common people and fighting misinformation and propaganda. After a long hiatus, we have returned to fight Arbemaisonnese propaganda, starting today.

    -- ARBEMAISONNES MOBILIZES --

This week, King Zaldar II of Arbemaisonnes increased the military budget threefold. There have been reports from all over the Shire of Arbemaisonnese military exercises, and construction projects in Arbemaisonnes Downtown have slowed down and in some cases even halted completely. All of this hints at one thing: King Zaldar II might be preparing for war.

No official plans have been released to the public yet, although it does seem all ads for traveling to To'ufenua have been removed, and thus it is speculated that King Zaldar II wants to restore the Arbemaisonnese colony of To'ufenua.

A continuation of the war between Arbemaisonnes and To'ufenua could have potentially city-ending results. "The reason the two have not fought since To'ufenua declared independence lies in To'ufenua," says an Arbemaisonnes-expert (we will not name him, that could be dangerous). "Ever since Arbemaisonnes left those islands, the To'ufenuans have been threatening to use their own nuclear weapons against them if they would return to conquer To'ufenua." This makes it all the more confusing that King Zaldar II is now preparing for war with To'ufenua, since the nuclear weapons didn't go anywhere. "He could be relying on the To'ufenuans' principles. It could be that he thinks To'ufenua is all bark and no bite, but for now we don't even know if that's really what he's after, so take that with a grain of salt."

-- NEW GARDENS IN ARBEMAISONNES --

Local gardeners of Arbemaisonnes have come together to plant beautiful gardens throughout the historical center of Arbemaisonnes. This could have a positive effect on tourism according to the gardeners, who have formed a nonprofit organization to keep these gardens up. Where there once were forests of nettles, weeds and grass there are now bushes and flowers and ornamental trees.
