Hey I'm Nick. I'm 19. I'm from PA but am in NYC for college (comp sci major). Like everyone else, I'm coming from Reddit. The server looked beautiful in the post on /r/gaming so I waited until the wee hours of the morning to check it out when traffic died down. Exploring the server, I was most astonished by the number of warps and the laxness of building restrictions especially in main areas. The urban areas felt properly organic unlike some other servers I've seen that try to compartmentalize everything into PlotMe plots.

So a little bit more about me. I am a huge tech nerd. I love anything that has to do with phones and wireless networks. I help run /r/TMobile answering questions and engaging in network talk with like-minded people there. Unlike literally every other comp sci major, I'm not much of a gamer. If you need proof, I run my entire life on Apple products (not a fanboy though, don't worry). Minecraft and Pokemon have been the only games that I've really stuck with and even then, I'm still pretty casual with both of them. That does not necessarily mean I won't be contributing to the server though :)

Hello Nick and welcome to the family called The Shire!

You have now been accepted and promoted to Tyrule, our beginner builder rank. You can go to
/warp tyrule to start building, but first I suggest you take a moment and read the rules which you can find around the spawn of this warp.

Some tips to help you get started:

All materials for you to build are found underneath the Tyrule spawn. You can also find enchantment areas in the corners of this spawn.

Use /plotme auto to get assigned to a plot automatically, or if you find an empty plot that you like, go ahead and type /plotme claim. When you want to go back to your plot, you can type /plotme home

Your build can be simple – there's no need to build a town. Just show us a peek of your imagination!

When your build is finished, let a staff member (a Lord, with golden rank letters, or an Arbiter, with dark blue letters) know, so they can take a look and promote you to our next rank, Yeoman!

And as always, if you have any further question, don't hesitate to contact staff!

Have an amazing time at The Shire!
