My name is Mark Brown.  I am 46 years old.  My 12 year old son and I share the same Minecraft account and the username is MrKitty99.  I also have a Minecraft Education Edition account; my username on that account is MarkB.  I am a 4th grade teacher living in California (United States) and have used Minecraft in my classroom this past school year.  My hobbies include cycling, backpacking, fly fishing, backpacking, and anything to do with animals and nature.  I learned of your incredible server through a news feed.  I would love to explore your server and possibly build an area similar to Sequoia National Park from the US.  I would love to be able to introduce my students to a Minecraft server that does not focus on competition or death and destruction.  In my Minecraft class we play and then write about our experience.  Your server would open new avenues to writing for my students.  It would also open an incredible community in which I could hone my own building skills and share my knowledge with my students.  Thanks for the consideration!

    Welcome to the Shire, Mark! It's amazing that you give the opportunity to your class in terms of allowing them to play Minecraft and write about it - a great idea! We also very much welcome your son! :)

    These instructions may be useful to your students, son or yourself if you plan to build;

    With this newly acquired rank, you can start building at /warp Tyrule

    Here are a few tips to help you;

    • At Tyrule there are various boards filled with information about the server ranking, history and rules - I would reccomend giving them a read!
    • Tyrules are all set to survival mode, therefore, all supplies for building can be found underneath /warp Tyrule instead of having to gather and craft these resources. Just right click the [Free] sign of the desired resource of your choice
    • Tools and enchanting signs can be found at the South East corner of /warp Tyrule - to acquire a tool, right click one of the signs, and to enchant it, hold the tool and right click one of the [Enchant] signs. Tools are very handy as they allow you to easily edit and destroy your build.
    • Tyrules build in a plotworld - to claim a plot automatically, do /plotme auto or hover over an empty, untaken plot and do /plotme claim - you can access your plot anytime by doing /plotme home
    • Keep in mind, that your build does not have to be huge nor extremely detailed, as long as we get a sense of your building style - a smaller build can be ample too :)

    Once your build is complete, or if you wish to ask any questions, contact a member of staff - these are the members with blue titles or gold titles.

    I hope you have a lovely experience playing on the Shire! :)

    PS: If you have any questions regarding playing on the Shire with your students, please ask members of staff. If you also want your students to be able to build please tell us their usernames so we can promote them to this rank.
