Recently, we've been having a crazy amount of empires popping up across the Shire. This certainly isn't an issue, but one thing bugging me is how many of these nations call themselves an empire. Once you have more than one village under your control, that does not necessarily mean you need to call yourself one! There are so many empires that the name has become bland and a little overused. If you're planning to rename your nation, here's some other names you can use aside from 'empire':

• Alliance
• Bloc
• Commonwealth
• Confederation
• Country
• Domain
• Dominion
• Federation
• Hegemony
• Kingdom
• Nation
• Realm
• Republic
• State
• Union
• Just a name; like "Laurelian"

Of course, we all love empire and kingdom, and it sounds powerful; but when so many people use it, how cool can it really be? Besides, I really think that stuff like 'Hegemony' and 'Commonwealth' sound a lot more unique. Try out some names, and make the title 'empire' cool again!
