Hey there! My name is Danny aka BrickCase. Im 14 years old and i live in Germany, so please excuse my english if i'm not always grammatically correct. I've heard about the Server because it was mentioned in a Gameranx video on youtube, and found it very impressive that the server has such a big and old map.

My ingame name is UltraRetro, i know Minecraft since it's early alpha days - btw, i still think that the old beta world generator was cooler than the one we have now. I love playing video games and i can also build and work with computers, im interested in much tech related stuff. 

But i have a question: I like filming some cool buildings in Minecraft and doing some cinematics, im using a mod for that called PixelCam. This mod allows you to take some cool shots. But the mod requires gamemode 1 or 3. Is there any chance of getting the rights to set my gamemode to 3? Im doing those little videos just for fun, and i would upload some about the server to youtube if im allowed to (of course not without mentioning the server). If there would be any need for the videos (for the Shirecraft youtube channel for example), i would just give them out.

Again, its just for fun.

Welcome, Ultra! Your application has been accepted!

You can now build in /warp tyrule where you'll find everything you need to show us your style and skill level and hopefully join us in the main world.

Important information about getting started:

- All your materials will be under the Tyrule spawn. To get to the materials area, follow the "yellow brick road." Just right click the "free" signs.

- All tools and enchantments can be found in one of the spawn corners. Signs will lead you there. Just right click the signs for the tools and then with the tool equipped, right click the enchantment signs

- You can be assigned a plot by doing /plotme auto and then /plot home to get to it

- Your tyrule build does not have to be huge or elaborate. Just something that gives us an idea of your style and skill level 

Please feel free to ask us any questions either here or in game. We're happy to help. And if you need assistance from a staff member, we're the folks with either blue or gold titles. 

If you haven't logged onto the server yet, you'll have to ask a staff member for your Tyrule ranking when you log on for the first time. If you've already logged onto the server, your Tyrule ranking should appear shortly.

To answer your questions:

If you're filming and need /gm 3, a staff member who is online at the time can help you with that. We won't be able to give you access to /gm 1, however. 

Creative mode on the server is either earned by ranking or we also give the "thank you" gift of the Duke creative rank to Yeomen who donate $15 USD to the server.

Making videos on the Shire is fine, we'd just appreciate a heads up about it when you do.

@Nebbers runs our youtube channel so you may want to speak to him about the videos.
