Failed to connect to server. Outdated server???

I'm trying to reconnect to this great server, but I'm getting that message even though i'm clearly 1.7.9. I've been gone for awhile. So is there anything important that I've missed. Is there anything that I must do first before being able to connect again.


Also, my launcher is only giving me the option to play offline for some reason.

 I apologize in advance if these type of questions have been answered before, but I haven't found anything in the forums about this.

Server is 1.7.2, so yes, it's outdated. Just relog on the start up screen and it shouldn't give you that offline option anymore unless it's gone.

ok, the offline problem is fixed now, but I still can't connect to the server. I get the same message.

Am I the only one who can't get on?

Just change your version back to 1.7.2
