NSE Demands Republiek Withdraw From Imperial Territories; Laurelian Refuses Extradition

FULFWOTZ- After Caffa's referendum ended in a vote to secede from the NSE, the Empire dispatched the Imperial Armed Forces to restore order within the unruly province. However, the pro-independence nation of the Republic of Orange and Purple has been threatened with retaliation after aggressively occupying the Imperial holdings of Chiffur and Activia, as well as forming a blockade around Little Wangleton.
This marks the first time since the Fulflet regime in the 70's that an Imperial territory has been invaded by an outside force.
Despite the implications of such a bold move, Minister of Defense Vica Sephorus urged calm in a press conference this afternoon.
"...Ultimately, the Ministry of Defense is not yet too concerned with the events unfolding in the Western Sea. The Imperial Armed Forces are more than able to handle and respond to any threat to our nation. I am of the opinion, as well as Madam Ritz-Khalifa and His Majesty the Emperor, that we allow the Republiek to reconsider their actions and remove their forces from Chiffur, Activia, and Little Wangleton. The Caffan Secession Crisis is one that should only matter within the borders of the New Sammichian Empire. Should the Republiek make the wise decision and withdraw from our land, its actions will be forgiven and no future recourse will be needed. However, if they choose to continue their senseless occupation of loyal Imperial territories, it will find itself at the mercy of the New Sammichian Empire and her allies."
The Ministry of Defense also made it clear that if Republiek warships were found anywhere within a 150-mile radius of Caffa, they would be attacked without hesitation and war would be imminent. Any jets found in Imperial airspace will be shot down as well. The country's brazen activities come as a surprise to many, as well as its curious level of interest in the Caffan independence movement.
A second blow to the NSE came soon after, as the Laurelii governing council of the Kiinthira announced their refusal to reveal the presence of the five accused Caffan legislators, as well as their declination to extradite them should they be within Laurelian.
