**VIRUS HAS RESURFACED; DOES IT POSE A THREAT TO THE SHIRE?**
Researchers have discovered that an Athitican STD, Dysterias, is actually a common strain of the deadly virus Lymphrosis, otherwise known as the Great White Plague, which killed 42% of the entire population five centuries ago. Scientists concluded that Shirefolk were immune to the virus, but it has since mutated. It is still unknown if it may be more lethal, or just as dangerous as the common cold. Symptoms so far are itchy skin, paleness, and headaches, none of which are life-threatening. Several cities have considered closing their borders, although it is not likely. So far, only Athitica reports showing signs of the virus, although they are all extremely mild cases. Researchers are struggling to figure out if it is spreading through winged hosts, as the Shire is preparing for the famous Balderbleet Migration. The Balderbleet Birds are expected to fly south, and it may spread the virus to other major cities in southern regions of the Shire.
