On the failed Demmatrodine Invasion

[Exerpt from Lord Nebbers' radio address to the nation]

My fellow Shirelings,

Fate has ordained that the men who marched from Castle Argh to expel the communist evils of the Demmatrodine in the name of freedom will stay in that foreign land to rest in peace.

These 2500 brave men, after routing the communists from Greenvale, are now surrounded by overwhelming enemy forces and stranded in the wastelands south of Summerstone.  They know that there is no hope for their recovery. But they also know that there is hope for mankind in their sacrifice.

These men are laying down their lives in mankind's most noble goal: the quest for freedom.

They will be mourned by their families and friends; they will be mourned by their nation; they will be mourned by the people of the world; they will be mourned by a Mother Freedom that dared send her sons into the unknown in the face of extreme danger.

In their mission, they stirred the free people of the world to feel as one; in their sacrifice, they bind more tightly the brotherhood of the free world.

Rest assured, others will follow and surely find victory in the heart of Fulfwotz. Freedom's endurance will not be denied. But these men were the first, and they will remain the foremost in our hearts.

For every human and sammichian who looks toward the southern sky in the nights to come will know that there is hope yet for our quest, and our resolve has never been stronger.

-Lord Nebbers of the Oranje Republic

May the fall of tyranny in Fulfwotz be swift and without more suffering for others and those living under the regime. The city state Alliance of Drosvenar, Aetheria, Kuzvak and Kaldaron (ADAKK) salute and support the bravery displayed by the Oranjestad 2500.
