Error with joining forum

Somebody I know, Jimjamjoller, has tried to create a forum account. He received the confirmation email, and when he clicks the link, he is taken to a page with a red bar saying "We cannot confirm your email." He has requested a new email, and it has not come. Anyone know why this might be?

Thank you for notifying - we think it may be due to forum stress due to a lot of applications and other things. Could you get your friend to send a screenshot of this issue? We cannot promote him to Tyrule unless he has written an application on his own account.0

its because you are using Gmail, I had to switch to yahoo for it to work so I changed my account name to tesfayepopytwo instead of tesfayepopy
